We’re looking for a driven and innovative Chef Manager to lead our culinary and food service operations at Furman University. This is a great opportunity to join a growing organization focused on quality, sustainability, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all culinary operations, including ordering, receiving, and inventory management
Lead menu planning, food production, and cost control with an emphasis on local sourcing and sustainability
Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met (HACCP knowledge required)
Manage budget performance and maintain P&L accountability
Drive team performance and foster a culture of culinary excellence
Deliver on catering and event standards with attention to presentation and quality
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of culinary management experience in contract foodservice, restaurant, or fine dining
Strong knowledge of food trends, sustainability practices, and high-volume production
Experience with exposition-style cooking
Proficient in purchasing, inventory control, and cost management
ServSafe certification preferred
