DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or a related role
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Procore, Pipedrive)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to interpret blueprints and technical documents
Capability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight GC deadlines
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred)
Estimating experience within the construction industry
Willingness to travel to visit clients and projects
YOU WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Reviewing architectural and engineering drawings, project plans, and specifications
Preparing detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor work
Performing quantity take-offs and cost analyses
Soliciting and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotes
Identifying potential risks and cost-saving opportunities
Participating in bid preparation and submission processes
Maintaining historical cost databases and estimation tools
Collaborating with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to clarify project scope and resolve discrepancies
Tracking changes in project scope and adjusting estimates accordingly
ABOUT THE COMPANY
An established construction firm specializing in high-quality interior and exterior application and drywall solutions. Based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. You will report to a Chief Estimator and have additional support as required from the team.
