Lead Carpenter Job Description:

PrideStaff is working with a local manufacturing facility who is seeking a Lead Carpenter to join their team. The Lead Carpenter will lead and guide the manufacturing of displays, stands, and sets, communicating with Project Managers to ensure each project has the materials and hardware for completion. This includes documenting inventory, requesting materials, and or hardware as well as creating a layout (Blueprint) for production. The ideal Lead Carpenter demonstrates an excellent understanding of carpentry manufacturing, coupled with a solid knowledge of tools, materials, hardware, and is able to read blueprints and create jigs for projects. The Lead Carpenter is a full-time, direct hire position in Redmond, WA.

Lead Carpenter Job Responsibilities:

• Mentor Production Associates & Level 1 & 2 Builders
• Build Goods, Products, & Displays According to Instructions & Plans in a Safe & Effective Manner
• Assist Project Managers by Performing The Necessary Tasks to Complete Work Orders in a Timely, Accurate & Complete Manner
• Specify & or Request New Materials & Hardware & Assisting With Installations
• Communicate With Project Managers When a Project Goes Off-Plan or Off-Budget
• Accurately Transact Daily Inventory Documentation on The Inventory Adjustment Sheet & Bill of Materials
• Accurately Record Daily Activities on a Timecard
• Create a Layout For Production Based on a Schematic Drawing
• Make Jigs For Mass Production
• Assist With Residential & Commercial Case Work Installation
• Strives to Continue to Develop & Maintain a Depth & Breadth of Knowledge of Our Multiple Industries, Functions, & Processes
• Assist With Additional Duties & Needs a Required
• Follow All PPE & Safety Guidelines

Lead Carpenter Job Requirements & Working Conditions:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• 5+ Years of Experience as a Cabinet Maker or Finish Carpenter
• On-Site Customer Facing Installation Experience Preferred
• Must Have Experience With Finish Carpentry, Cabinetry, Furniture Making, Exhibits, Display, or Event Displays
• Previous Experience With Finishing, Acrylic, Fiberglass, Solid Surface, Sound, Lighting, Low Voltage Wiring & Electronics Preferred
• Must be Able to Lift up to 75lbs
• Must Know How to Read Blueprints & Use Hand & Power Tools Including a Table Saw
• Knowledge With LED Wiring & AV Wiring Highly Preferred
• Must Have Excellent Organization & Time Management Skills
• Superb Written & Verbal Communication Skills Required
• Demonstrates Excellent Problem Solving & Record Keeping Skills
• Must Have Good Judgement, & Adapt to Priority Changes With a Sense of Urgency
• Must be Able to Work in a Manufacturing Environment in Cold or Hot Environments
• Must Demonstrate Excellent Motor Coordination & be Able to Stand For Extended Periods
• Must be Able to Travel For Occasional Instillation of High End Projects
