Manual QA Engineer

About the Role

goTenna is seeking a QA engineer interested in performing manual tests and assisting with the execution of automated tests on goTenna Software and Firmware products. We work in a collaborative setting, partnering with the QA team as well as the Software, Firmware, Hardware, and Product teams. This is an opportunity to optimize testing processes and support product improvements based on customer feedback. Our team operates in an Agile test environment and this role will include product field testing.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, execute, and maintain manual test scripts for Mobile and Web applications
• Participate in UAT, Performance Testing, Regression Testing, and Smoke Testing
• Identify opportunities for improved test planning and execution
• Create test plans, organize test data and create test summary reports
• Use a test management tool to track and organize test runs and development efforts
• Set up, configure, and maintain testing environments
• Identify, record, document, and track defects, and changes in tools such as Jira
• Quickly create demos and proof of concepts with documentation
• Actively collaborate with the Development and Product teams.

Required Experience:

• Minimum 3+ years of experience with manual Software testing
• Manual Testing experience on Android, iOS, and Web based applications
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong Communication & Interpersonal skills
• Exhibits knowledge of software development lifecycles and Agile methodologies
• Keen attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Self-starter, ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with assisting SDETs with executing automation scripts
• RF or Telecommunications experience
• Familiarity with debug tools such as ADB
• Experience working in a technology startup environment
• Preference for working in the innovative, fast-paced environment of a startup company

ITAR: U.S. Citizen or Green Card Required

Placement at the appropriate job level (entry, senior, etc) will be determined by a combination of years of experience, demonstration of proficiency in this field, and other qualifications. Able to lift 30lbs.
