Job Description
We’re looking for a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to lead our dessert program with a focus on custom cake design and beautifully crafted plated desserts. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative professional who is excited about elevating guest experiences through thoughtful design, flavor, and presentation.
What You’ll Do:
· Check freshness and quality of ingredients
· Assist in the development of menu items
· Standardize recipes and plate presentations
· Work with management to create a memorable experience for guests
· Design and create stunning custom cakes for weddings, birthdays, and special events.
· Develop and execute a dynamic dessert menu featuring seasonal and signature items.
· Maintain the highest standards of taste, quality, and presentation.
· Collaborate with the culinary team on menu planning and special offerings.
· Manage pastry production and timelines for both daily service and special orders.
· Keep a clean, organized, and health code-compliant kitchen.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a pastry chef, with a strong focus on cake design and desserts.
· Skilled in modern cake decorating techniques, including buttercream, piping, and structural cakes.
· Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about visual and flavor artistry.
· Excellent time management, able to balance daily service with special order production.
· Positive attitude and strong team collaboration skills.
· Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
Pastry experience:
Cake decorating experience
· Restaurant/bakery experience is a plus
· Can work up to 30 hours a week
· Can work mornings, including weekends
· Passion for food and cooking techniques
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Bonus Points For:
· Experience with gluten-free, vegan, or allergen-friendly desserts.
· Portfolio of past cake and dessert designs (please include if available).
