We are seeking a creative Pastry Chef to join our culinary team on an hourly basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic kitchen environment and is eager to contribute to a menu that pushes boundaries while honoring tradition. You’ll be responsible for crafting high-quality, health-conscious pastries—including gluten-free options—and developing desserts that align with our Cali-Vietnamese identity.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods for both daily service and events
• Develop innovative, Asian-influenced dessert items in line with Tiato’s fusion concept
• Create gluten-free and health-forward pastry options with a focus on flavor and presentation
• Maintain consistency and quality in all baked goods, ensuring adherence to recipes and standards
• Assist in menu development and seasonal dessert rotations
• Work closely with the Executive Chef and Events team to plan for special menus.
• Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen
• Manage pastry prep, inventory, and ordering of pastry-specific ingredients

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a pastry chef or baker in a professional kitchen
• Strong knowledge of gluten-free, vegan, and health-conscious baking techniques
• Familiarity and comfort with Asian ingredients and flavor profiles (ideal)
• Creative and collaborative mindset with a passion for innovation
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and event-based schedules
• Food Handler’s Certification
