Job Summary

Follows policies, procedures, and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components and/or operations | Follows and/ or develops, assures and maintains the quality of products and processes through standard procedures & systems (e.g., ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14000 & AS9100 standards), quality audits/ review process, etc. Responsibilities are within the Quality Assurance Methods Function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines

Position Location Detail: This position is located at our West facility.

Essential Functions

\n
• Defines and specifies activities, processes, and standards to fulfill the quality requirements for materials, components, or products.
\n
• Builds and maintains the infrastructure and systems necessary to consistently ensure the timely delivery of quality products.
\n
• Identifies and addresses any issues with equipment performance.
\n
• Audits, monitors, and determines the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards.
\n
• Reports and troubleshoots manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods
\n
• Conducts tests on materials or samples to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.
\n \n Required Qualifications
• \n Required education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 2-5 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
Preferred Qualifications
\n
• \n Preferred education and experience: Associate's Degree
\n
• \n Discipline/Major: Technical training preferred
\n
• \n Knowledge, skills & abilities: Technical expertise. Ability to identify and seek needed information. Research skills. Problem-solving skills.
\n
Physical Requirements
\n
• Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
\n
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
\n
• May need to stand for long periods of time.
\n
• Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
\n
• May be requested to work a different shift.
\n
• Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.
\n
• This position is Safety-Sensitive.
\n
