Job Details:

• Temp to perm position with local candidates reviewed first
\n• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of all aspects of General Diagnostic Radiology
\n• Adhere to Departmental Protocols and Policy and Procedures
\n• Obtain and maintain RT(R) credentials with "Active Status"
\n• Use technical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment and protocol problems
\n• Share knowledge with employees and students in the work unit
\n• Ensure patient demographic information, emulsion markers, and examination requests are correct
\n• Critique, orient and save all pertinent images
\n• Transmit QA-ed images to PACS and ensure all images reach PACS
\n• Document completion and/or cancellation of all procedures in RIS
\n• Maintain image management equipment and report equipment problems
\n• Use PACS and HIS systems for obtaining additional study data
\n• Perform quality radiographic images on a consistent and ongoing basis
\n• Analyze requests and draw appropriate conclusions for examination and action plans
\n• Review radiographic orders and images, correlating patient demographic information
\n• Review daily schedules and status of patients waiting for examinations
\n• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
\n• Document incidents and advise area supervisor of improvement opportunities
\n• Use RIS, CIS, PACS and SMS systems effectively to access information
\n• Verify patient identity and obtain relevant patient history
\n• Verify pregnancy status before administering ionizing radiation
\n• Assess patients' physical conditions and develop action plans
\n• Assist patients requiring extra attention and react to emergency situations
\n• Required certifications: ARRT Certified in Radiography, Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider
\n• Must maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually
\n• Accredited Associate's Degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program required
\n• No prior experience required
