Description:

Job Purpose:

To perform a variety of activities within departments to facilitate the production process and drive the truck as needed.

Essential Functions:

1. Must be willing and able to drive truck, class C between Estwing locations as needed
2. Assembles and/or tests various tools to ready them for further manufacturing processes or for shipping.
3. Scrapes or rubs work with wire brush, buffing equipment, or over abrasive wheel to remove scratches and other defects from part surfaces.
4. Loads and unloads materials or products onto or from pallets, skids, etc., manually or with hand truck.
5. Delivers stock from one work station to another to assist in production.
6. Cleans around designated work areas using broom and shovel.
7. Sorts product from one tub and/or cart to another.
8. Completes the appropriate routing sheet and inputs data entry information in a timely manner.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

1. One to three months of related experience or on-the-job training.

Physical:

1. Must be able to stand at equipment for 8 hours or more per day
2. Must be able to use both hands to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands or arms, stoop or kneel, and communicate with others.
3. Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 100 pounds.
4. Must have close vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus on work.
5. Employees will be exposed to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, fumes or airborne particles, moderate noise levels, vibration to hands, and occasionally outside weather conditions.
6. Employees will be required to wear hearing protection, safety glasses and foot protection.

Mental:

1. Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple written and verbal instructions.
2. Must be able to perform mathematical skills such as: addition, subtractions, multiplication, and division of all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; and ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
3. Must have the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
