We are looking for individuals with heavy equipment or mechanical repair experience, a sharp eye for detail, and a passion for working with trains. What We Offer: $1,000 Hiring Bonus 100% Employee Insurance Coverage (Medical, Dental, Vision) 50% Dependent Health Benefits 401(k) with Company Match Paid Holidays, and a Generous PTO Policy Opportunities for Career Growth What You'll Do: Perform basic mechanical tasks under supervision, including underframe cleaning and general facility/railcar cleaning Assist with incoming/outgoing inspections and install platform steps and grab handles Use precision measuring tools (calipers, tape, gauges) to verify work meets standards Collaborate with team leads to support training and mentorship Follow standard work instructions and document progress using basic computer tools What We're Looking For: High School Diploma or equivalent (Technical certification is a plus) 3 years of professional mechanical experience (automotive, aircraft, motorcycle, heavy equipment, etc.) Experience working with braking systems on large vehicles or equipment (e.g. railcars, aircraft, or heavy-duty trucks) Proficient with hand and power tools such as torque wrenches and basic measuring instruments Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and maintenance documentation Strong math skills and comfort with both standard and metric systems Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus Physical and Other Requirements: Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test Frequently required to stand, walk and perform manual tasks Occasionally required to kneel, stoop, climb, or work at heights of up to 20 feet Must be able to work in confined spaces and under railcars Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds Ready to Build Your Future with Us?
