Gecko Hospitality is now searching for an experienced and motivated Restaurant General Manager in Durango for a local favorite! The ideal Restaurant General Manager is a hands-on, high-energy leader with strong organizational skills, an ownership mindset, and proven ability to drive operations, develop teams, and deliver an exceptional guest experience.

 

About The Company: We are a restaurant offering a variety of fresh meals, prepared with quality ingredients. Our menu rotates seasonally with daily specials, fresh-baked desserts including gluten-free and vegan options. Whether dining in or taking it to go, guests can enjoy wholesome meals made without artificial additives or preservatives.

 

Responsibilities

• Oversees all aspects of restaurant operations, including financial performance, guest satisfaction, and team development.
• Recruits, hires, trains, and mentors staff while developing Shift Supervisors into strong leaders.
• Provides coaching and feedback to drive engagement, accountability, and high performance.
• Runs efficient shifts that consistently deliver excellent food, service, and overall guest experience.

 

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary : up to $75,000

Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years current experience as a Restaurant General Manager in a full service or fast casual concept
• Ability to increase sales and build rapport in the community
• Outstanding leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Hands-on with hiring, training, and developing hourly employees
• Excellent work ethic and drive to succeed
• Restaurant general manager candidates must be proficient with financials (P&L's, inventory, food/labor cost, etc.)
